Joins intellectual property and international services practice groups
Intellectual Property attorney Jean Paul “Yugo” Nagashima is the first new Member to join Frost Brown Todd’s (FBT) Washington D.C. office. Nagashima’s practice focuses on patent infringement litigation in the technology industry. He works with both American and Japanese companies in the IP arena. He has represented clients before the U.S. International Trade Commission and Federal District Courts and will use his experience assisting Japanese companies and foreign-owned subsidiaries in the U.S. with various legal needs. Nagashima has a J.D. from Keio University Law School in Tokyo, has his LL.M. with a Law and Technology Certificate from the University of California Berkeley School of Law, and has his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.
“Yugo is exactly the type of attorney we set out to add to the FBT team when we opened our Washington D.C. office at the start of 2021,” said Washington D.C. Member-in-Charge Jonathan Miller. “Our core team supporting the D.C. office consolidated our bi-partisan federal public policy and regulatory practice to better serve clients in their home markets like Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Yugo now adds a dimension that increases our ability to respond to business needs in and outside of the Beltway.”
In addition to Nagashima, FBT’s Washington D.C. office also added Senior Associate David Zylka, who works with clients in the investment management and private equity sectors, and former Deputy U.S. Secretary of Education Mitchell McGeever “Mick” Zais. Zais serves as a Principal with FBT’s subsidiary CivicPoint.
