Environmental Criminal Defense

Over the last year, the EPG has been involved in defending several clients who were the subject of criminal investigations by state and federal government agencies. The EPG was successful in getting the government to decline to prosecute each of these clients. Several of the investigations involved allegations of improper management of hazardous waste and discharges to water ways. We are also currently defending an investigation being conducted by the United States Department of Justice and U.S. EPA involving alleged illicit discharges of wastewater from a client’s manufacturing facility. The government’s investigation has been going on for over two years. The identity of these clients cannot be disclosed due to the very sensitive nature of the proceedings.
