Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue, Learn How to Discipline Employees and Break Up Too

February 14, 2024 12:00 pm EST Free Webinar

Although most employers are quite fond of their employees, that some employees require discipline is inevitable. And, if the proverbial love turns sour, the employment relationship may need to end. Join FBT attorneys Anne Duprey and Haley Crum on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2024, as they share tried-and-true tips on how to effectively handle employee discipline and termination.

Decisions about when and how to discipline an employee are often difficult. Employers and HR professionals may worry about finding the right approach, avoiding the wrong things to say, and handling an upset employee’s response. Employers face the same concerns, often on an even larger scale, when they decide to terminate an employee. Understanding the objective of discipline and the qualities of an effective termination can give employers peace of mind and help them avoid common pitfalls that lead to lawsuits. Solid practices surrounding discipline and termination can also improve workplace morale and productivity.
