Frost Brown Todd (FBT) Charleston Member-in-Charge Carte P. Goodwin and Member Carol Smith have been selected to the 2017 West Virginia Super Lawyers list for attaining a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. No more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers. In addition, FBT Member Jared M. Tully has been selected to the 2017 West Virginia Rising Stars list, recognizing him among the top two and a half percent of up-and-coming lawyers in the state.
Carte Goodwin is a member of FBT’s Business Litigation Practice Group and a principal of the firm’s public affairs subsidiary, CivicPoint. In addition to handling litigation matters for clients, he practices appellate advocacy, advises on government relations, intellectual property matters and commercial transactions.
Carol Smith is a member of FBT’s Products, Torts and Insurance Practice Group as well as FBT’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. Smith has served on three national trial teams throughout the United States and in various high-profile litigation cases in the state.
Jared Tully is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group and represents financial institutions, national banks and insurance companies in litigation involving claims of predatory lending practices, bad faith and various consumer and commercial disputes.
