Former U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit law clerk Mary Claire Davis is the newest attorney in Frost Brown Todd’s (FBT) Charleston, WV office. Davis spent nearly 13 years working with federal courts. During her time working with Fourth Circuit judges Robert B. King and Stephanie D. Thacker, she assisted with at least 175 federal appeals. Davis has also clerked for the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of West Virginia and served as the Southern District’s first Criminal Justice Act supervising attorney.

Davis is a graduate of West Virginia University College of Law. During that time, she was Editor-in-Chief of the West Virginia Law Review, selected to Order of the Coif and Named Outstanding Student by the National Association for Women Lawyers. Currently, she teaches Appellate Advocacy there as an adjunct professor.
