Frost Brown Todd (FBT) announces the addition of six new attorneys to its Indianapolis office: Jeffery T. Gorham, Scott A. Krapf, Joshua N. Kutch, Zachary C. Raibley, Jennifer L. Schuster and Jordan J. Szymialis. The office, led by Member-in-Charge Heather Wilson, now has more than 60 local attorneys in addition to paralegals and other support staff. “This new group of attorneys continues to strengthen our corporate practice, while also reinforcing our well-established litigation department,” says Wilson.
Jeffery Gorham has extensive experience in day-to-day annuity and life insurance operations. He previously worked in the regulatory compliance department of Guggenheim Life and Annuity, where he served as counsel and anti-fraud coordinator, as well as advised on business matters in actuarial, administration, claims, finance, marketing and new business units. He earned his J.D. at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Gorham joins FBT’s Regulated Business practice.
Scott Krapf joins the firm’s Finance and Real Estate practice group. He was previously Assistant Commissioner for Championships of the Ohio Valley Conference after serving as law clerk in the NCAA Office of Legal Affairs and as chair of the NCAA Division I National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Krapf also served as judicial law clerk for the Montgomery County Superior Court. He earned his J.D. at Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2014.
Joshua Kutch works in the firm’s Construction Law practice group. He previously served as law clerk in the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, for Judge David J. Certo of the Marion Superior Court, and for the Office of the Assistant Chief Counsel for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Most recently he worked for a law firm in Merrillville, IN., handling general litigation, real estate and other corporate law matters. He obtained his law degree in 2013 from Notre Dame Law School, where he was a Dean’s Scholar.
Zachary Raibley joins as an attorney in the firm’s Tort and Insurance Defense practice group, working mainly on insurance defense litigation. He previously worked in the areas of construction law and medical device litigation. He attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2011. He clerked for Judge Martha Blood Wentworth of the Indiana Tax Court in 2012-2013.
Jennifer Schuster joins the firm’s Tort and Insurance Defense and Product Liability Litigation practice groups. She has experience in a wide variety of civil litigation matters in state and federal courts, including products liability and personal injury defense, intellectual property and patent litigation, and general commercial litigation. She has an educational background in science, including a B.S. degree in molecular biology and an M.S. in genetics. She earned her J.D. at Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2008.
Jordan Szymialis joinsFBT’s Business Litigation practice group. He has worked in private practice assisting businesses, individuals and educational institutions in litigation and dispute matters. Szymialis earned a combined J.D./MBA at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and the Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis. He was a member of the 2015 Class of the Indiana State Bar Association Leadership Development Academy.
