M & S Partners v. Scottsdale Insurance Company, et al.

Scottsdale denied coverage and claimant proceeded to obtain verdict against purported insured for $600,000. Claimant then filed a bad faith and coverage claim against insurer. Judge granted summary judgment on the bad faith claim on a conflicts of laws issue: that Virginia law applied, and that Virginia does not recognize 3rd party bad faith.
