Austin is an experienced business and corporate attorney that advises clients in a wide range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and commercial contracts. Austin’s responsiveness, pragmatism and business-minded approach help guide his clients through each stage of their critical transactions.
Austin’s merger and acquisition experience includes representing buyers and sellers in the drafting and negotiation of purchase agreements, merger agreements and equity investment documents. In his finance practice, Austin counsels banks and borrowers, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in middle-market loan transactions, including oil and gas reserve-based financing, commercial asset-based financing, and acquisition financing. He also attends to general corporate contracts and corporate governance matters including limited liability company agreements, limited partnership agreements, bylaws and officer’s certificates and resolutions.
Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, Austin worked in other notable Texas law firms and served as general counsel for two independent oil and gas companies in Dallas.
Represented state and regional banks in reserve-based lending transactions secured by oil and gas properties in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, North Dakota, Wyoming and Pennsylvania.
Represented private equity sponsored borrowers in loan refinancing and acquisition financing transactions.
Served as general counsel for independent oil and gas operating company and its affiliate companies.
