Biography

Mr. McDonald handles a wide variety of cases in the firm’s Environmental Group in both state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Gibbons, he served as a Deputy Attorney General for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Division of Criminal Justice as part of the Honors Program. In that role, he prosecuted and managed complex environmental criminal matters from inception through trial, such as cases involving water pollution, solid and hazardous waste, air pollution, and wildlife offenses. He also provided legal counsel to Division of Criminal Justice detectives, New Jersey State Conservation Police, and New Jersey State Police. Mr. McDonald also previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Georgette Castner, U.S.D.J., in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Honorable Ronald Susswein, J.A.D., in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.
