Biography

Jeff understands the regulatory, risk, legal and operational challenges facing companies today. He has experience working with clients on many aspects of business, including insurance, risk management, real estate, compliance, safety, employment and litigation matters. He also assists clients with commercial agreements, employment, contract and litigation matters.

As a former vice president at a publicly traded property & casualty insurance company, Jeff worked with some of the largest transportation and logistics providers. During his tenure, he helped establish insurance programs to support and protect their business models and manage associated risks. He counseled partners on independent contractor/owner-operator arrangements, challenges to independent contractor classification and independent contractor reclassification risk mitigation. He also was integral in their efforts to manage exposure, especially in their workers’ compensation programs. His transportation experience includes claims management, risk management, contracts, safety and compliance. He has experience in many key areas in the transportation industry, including primary & excess auto liability, non-trucking liability, cargo, workers’ compensation, occupational accident and contingent liability. Prior to his time in the insurance industry, Jeff served as counsel for many private and business clients, including automobile dealership groups, assisting with many complex matters directly impacting their lives and operations.
