In his role as the Patent Service Team Leader for FBT’s IP Practice Group, Jeff manages the firm’s team of patent attorneys and agents to help them provide the best possible service to their clients. In his own practice, Jeff enjoys working with clients to align their patent strategies with their business goals. He helps clients with all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, including both utility and design patents, and provides patentability, freedom-to-operate, and patent infringement analysis and opinions. He has experience in a wide range of technologies, including electrical components, mechanical and medical devices, construction components, and industrial equipment. In addition to his patent work, Jeff is also involved in drafting and negotiating various types of agreements that cover all types of IP, including nondisclosure/confidentiality agreements, software development agreements, joint development agreements, IP licenses and IP purchase agreements. He also enjoys collaborating with our corporate attorneys by handling various aspects of IP related due diligence for corporate transactions.
