Jeff has more than 20 years of experience as a trial lawyer. He concentrates his practice on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, business, warranty, and economic loss claims. He also counsels and defends employers on worker’s compensation issues, litigates claims before administrative tribunals and serves as national coordinating counsel for Medicare reporting for a major product manufacturer. He has served as national defensive discovery counsel for a medical device manufacturer in multi-district litigation and currently handles national coordinating counsel responsibilities for a major vehicle manufacturer related to cases and claims for a recalled product. Prior to the merger between Frost Brown Todd and Locke Reynolds, Jeff spent his entire career at Locke Reynolds.
Because Jeff believes strongly in a lawyer’s responsibility to give back to the community, Jeff devotes significant volunteer time to the arts, non-profit Board leadership, education, and other projects aimed at lifting up the lives of children and the indigent.
During his career, Jeff has tried more than a combination of 50 jury trials, bench trials, and cases before administrative tribunals. Representative trials involved: catastrophic injuries, recalled products, major fires, and breach of contract. In addition, Jeff has handled a number of appeals on significant topics including: wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, a variety of worker’s compensation issues, evidence spoliation, fire loss, the economic loss rule, statute of repose, admissibility of expert testimony, and post sale duty to warn.
