Biography

Jeremy, a member of the Government Services Practice Group, focuses his practice on the representation of public and private clients in all aspects of litigation. He advises his clients at all stages of pre-litigation and litigation, evaluating the risks and benefits of litigation, and examining potential avenues for early and effective resolution. Jeremy has extensive experience with government-related litigation (including eminent domain, zoning, public records) utility-based litigation, and complex commercial litigation, among other specialties.

Jeremy’s litigation practice includes working with public and private clients to:

• take any and all steps necessary to avoid unnecessary litigation, if possible.
• evaluate all aspects of the dispute, to determine if a lawsuit should be filed (on the Plaintiff’s side) and determine how to efficiently and effectively respond to a lawsuit filed against the client (on the Defendant’s side).
• prepare and execute an effective litigation plan.
• handle all aspects of litigation, including initial investigation/inquiry, drafting of pleadings, identification of lay and expert witnesses, written discovery, deposition discovery, motion practice and trial.
• work collaboratively with the client at all stages of the litigation to ensure buy-in from the client and bring the dispute to its most reasonable conclusion, whether an agreed settlement, judgment by the Court on a substantive motion, or trial.

Jeremy has represented companies, individuals and governmental entities in all phases of litigation before dozens of Courts of Common Pleas throughout Ohio, numerous Ohio Appellate Courts, the Ohio Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and the 6^th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Away from the office, Jeremy spends as much time with his family (and dog) and is an avid golfer and reader.
