Kirby represents small and large businesses in a variety of employment matters, ranging from enforcement of noncompete agreements to compliance with Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and various other federal and state employment laws. She coordinates with and provides legal assistance to employers, human resources professionals, and company leaders to ensure objectives and strategies are aligned with broader business goals.
Kirby has experience defending employers against claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wage and hour violations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), state and local agencies, and in federal and state courts.
Prior to joining FBT, Kirby served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas B. Russell, senior judge for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
