Lisa is a Senior Tax Professional in the firm’s Tax and Benefits Practice Group. She has over 16 years of experience working in the legal field, with the last 10 years focused on the areas of state and local tax, tax controversy and litigation, real property tax appeals and economic development and incentives matters. Lisa assists attorneys at various jurisdictional levels, including but not limited to, real property tax hearings before the Local Board of Assessment Appeals, administrative protests with the Kentucky Department of Revenue, tax appeals before the Kentucky Claims Commission, Circuit Court actions, as well as appellate actions with both the Kentucky Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Kentucky.
Lisa provides case development and management assistance to attorneys, with duties including document review and production, electronic data management, legal research and fact gathering, preparation of pleadings and memoranda, deposition preparation, as well as the drafting and preparation of trial exhibits and other demonstrative evidence. Lisa is involved on all levels of discovery and trial preparation, and is also responsible for creating and maintaining various databases for use by our state and local tax practitioners.
