Mike oversees all information technology projects and platforms for Gibbons, with more than 400 employees located in eight offices throughout six states. He was responsible for the build-out of a new 650-square-foot data center that coincided with the relocation of the firm’s headquarters. Under his direction, the firm has implemented various technological advancements, including end-to-end Internet Protocol (IP) voice and data network with new voice over IP (VoIP) telephone headsets, enhanced voicemail applications, increased network bandwidth between all offices, and secure remote access to voice and data systems. These capabilities help Gibbons to compete effectively with large national firms and provide the best possible service for clients, who are not only looking for top legal talent and favorable billing rates, but also advanced technology capabilities such as extranets, e-billing capabilities, and electronic litigation management. Mike has also developed and implemented various customized software programs at Gibbons, which have involved collaborating with outside software developers to outline the program through implementation firm-wide.
