Ms. Bhutani concentrates her practice in the area of employment law. She has extensive experience representing employers and management in federal and state courts, in arbitration, and before federal and state agencies. She focuses on the defense of matters pertaining to federal and state employment discrimination, retaliation/whistleblowing, harassment, and wage and hour in New Jersey and New York, and she has multi-faceted experience handling individual, class, and collective actions. In her employment law compliance and counseling practice, Ms. Bhutani provides advice and counsel to employers from a range of industries on litigation avoidance, leaves of absence, employee discipline and termination, employment contracts and separation agreements, wage and hour, and compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local statutes. She also conducts workplace investigations and assists employers in drafting company policies and training materials.
Prior to joining Gibbons, Ms. Bhutani also had experience working as a plaintiffs’-side employment attorney. She leverages this experience to provide a unique advantage to employers and management in formulating strategy in litigation, arbitration, and counseling matters.
