As the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, Rob oversees all accounting and financial operations. He is responsible for providing the Executive Committee with timely and accurate financial statements, ongoing cash flow projections, and budget and forecasting projections. He is also responsible for establishing and maintaining all internal procedures and controls, and he directly oversees all tax, audit, and compliance issues.
As the head of the Client Financial Services Department, Rob leads a team that works closely with the firm’s billing attorneys to evaluate the scope of new legal engagements and, where appropriate, add value for the firm’s clients by developing alternative fee arrangements, such as task-based, fixed fee, and blended rate deals. As part of the firm’s overall cost management and procurement policies, he continuously seeks to improve the firm’s business and financial systems by converting and implementing strategic software and systems updates. These improved efficiencies are passed along to clients in the form of better service and, ultimately, cost savings. Rob is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, as well its Finance, Audit, and Benefits Committees. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz and has held previous finance and accounting positions with the law firms of Winston & Strawn and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.
Mr. Faro’s prior experience includes Finance/Accounting positions with the law firms of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and Winston & Strawn LLP.
