Mr. Bathie is an experienced real estate attorney who has successfully executed legal and business strategies in connection with the acquisition, disposition, ownership, and development of real properties worldwide.
His broad-based background in transactional commercial real estate has involved deal management as lead counsel; acquisitions and dispositions of commercial, mixed use, industrial, retail, and multifamily properties, as well as equity interests; landlord and tenant representation regarding leasing; representation of major hotel operators and owners; various joint venture arrangements and structures including common and preferred equity; representation of borrowers in complex debt transactions; development and ownership agreements; and all aspects of due diligence. Prior to joining Gibbons, Mr. Bathie was General Counsel & Principal at Innovo Property Group in New York City, where he was responsible for all legal matters and oversaw and executed transactional activities, corporate initiatives, corporate compliance, management of outside counsel, and human resources matters.
