Jonathan, member-in-charge of Frost Brown Todd’s Washington, D.C. office, has emerged as one of the nation’s leading hemp lawyers, while serving as one of the industry’s leading advocates for legalization. In 2014, Miller helped lead the successful battle against the DEA’s efforts to ban importation of hemp seed, and he now serves as general counsel to the US Hemp Roundtable, the industry’s leading business trade association, which led the fight to securing permanent federal legalization of hemp and continues to address the development of hemp-friendly state regulation. Jonathan’s work was recognized by the prestigious National Law Journal which named him to its inaugural class of “Trailblazers” among government relations professionals.

Kimera’s practice focuses on representing clients whose products and activities are regulated by the FDA and USDA. She advises clients on a variety of regulatory matters, including nutrition labeling, label claims, and website content. She also provides advice with respect to general, corporate, commercial and day-to-day business matters, including commercial contract negotiations, review and drafting, with an emphasis on supply and distribution arrangements.
Nolan has successfully handled complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts throughout Kentucky and has represented clients in administrative, civil, and criminal proceedings on various federal and state law claims. Additionally, Nolan has advised clients at all levels of the hemp and derivative products supply chains on myriad issues, including compliance, contract enforcement, import/export, inspections, labeling and packaging, licensing, and litigation.
Karlyn represents domestic and international clients in a wide array of intellectual property matters, with particular emphasis on patent and trademark prosecution, counseling and enforcement. Karlyn’s patent practice involves patent prosecution for small molecule, pharmaceutical, and polymer chemistry; freedom to practice, validity and patentability opinions; licensing agreements; due diligence review of intellectual property assets and patent portfolio management.
Bill represents financial services clients in litigation, operations and compliance. He has experience in the credit and debit card industry, including those issues unique to transaction Acquirers. He served as in-house counsel to National Processing Company, then the nation’s second largest acquirer of card transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Bill worked as in-house counsel for National City Bank, handling the Bank’s commercial, retail and operational litigation.
