Brings bi-partisan depth plus health care and tech industry experience
Frost Brown Todd (FBT) welcomes Senior Associate William (Will) Swann who will join the business litigation team and serve as a Vice President of CivicPoint, LLC. A graduate of both the West Virginia University College of Law and WVU College of Business and Economics, Swann has successfully advised a variety of clients before the West Virginia legislature. Whether representing a national cell service provider seeking streamlined 5G small cell deployment or a managed health care organization assisting West Virginia’s foster care system, Swann uses his knowledge of the political process and players to achieve successful outcomes. Swann also brings experience serving on the staffs of state and national politicians of both major parties. He will work out of FBT’s Charleston office.
“Will’s impressive work for a wide range of clients makes him a valuable addition to our team,” said Charleston Member-in-Charge and CivicPoint Principal Carte Goodwin. “Will is a skilled advocate whether he’s in the statehouse or in the courtroom. He is a well-respected attorney whose holistic approach to advocacy and government relations will be an asset to the firm and our clients.”
In addition to his work with the West Virginia Legislature, Swann has experience handling employment and insurance litigation matters. “FBT’s mix of unparalleled litigation ability and a dedicated government relations unit with the CivicPoint subsidiary makes it the right fit for my practice,” said Swann. “I’m excited to be part of this growing and vibrant office.”
