Frost Brown Todd (FBT) announces the addition of Senior Associate Stephanie V. McGowan to its Indianapolis office and Government Services Practice Group. As a part of one of the premier public sector legal teams in Mid-America, McGowan joins more than 50 attorneys dedicated to serving some of the largest public entities in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, as well as many of the smaller municipalities, school districts and other public entities in the region.

McGowan focuses her practice in municipal and education law and has previously represented municipalities in town courts, county courts and before the Indiana Supreme Court. She handles a variety of matters, ranging from zoning; drafting, revising and reviewing of municipal ordinances; and eminent domain proceedings. She also handles general litigation matters, including employment discrimination claims and various commercial disputes. 

McGowan earned her B.A. in Government and History at Cornell University, with distinction in all subjects and magna cum laude, and her J.D. at Washington University School of Law. She is a graduate of the Indianapolis Bar Association Bar Leader Series, Class XIII, and currently serves as vice-chair of the Legal Education Committee for the IndyBar Young Lawyer’s Division.
