Akesha’s practice focuses primarily on the acquisition, financing, leasing and development of commercial real estate properties. She has real estate experience representing both borrowers and lenders, focusing on financing multifamily, industrial, retail and commercial and mixed-use properties nationwide.
Akesha has extensive experience representing borrowers as local counsel, where Akesha acts as opinion counsel and efficiently and effectively delivers the services required in connection with such deals. Akesha has acted as local counsel for borrowers on all types of sophisticated deals including large portfolio deals covering multiple jurisdictions, construction loans, low-income housing tax credits and tax-exempt bonds. Akesha also represents lenders as local counsel, reviewing opinions and loan documents for compliance with local law.
