  • Required Public Records Training For Public Officials Is Now Offered Online

As most of our readers already know, elected public officials (or their designees) are required to attend training on public records presented by the Ohio Attorney General.  But did you know that it can now be completed online, from the comfort of ‘anywhere, anytime’?  And it is offered at a very competitive price:  free.

Just go to https://sunshinelaw.ohioattorneygeneral.gov, register for an account, login, and complete your training.  It’s really that simple.  You then print your certificate of completion and you are done.  So don’t forget this convenient method of receiving the training when it comes time to get your certification.

Moreover, anyone is welcome to attend the training; it is not limited to elected officials. Finally, for those attorneys in the crowd, the program is approved for three general self-study activity hours.  So three CLE hours, for free, from the comfort of your home or office.  It doesn’t get much better than that.
