2008 – We defended a large trucking company in a federal court lawsuit in Lexington, Kentucky involving a tractor-trailer that ran a red light. The only issue for trial was the amount of damages. We succeeded in having negligent entrustment and punitive damages claims dismissed, then the jury returned a verdict totaling less than half of Plaintiff’s lowest settlement demand.
