Joins six new Pittsburgh-based attorneys hired in the last part of 2021
Frost Brown Todd (FBT) Pittsburgh’s office added Member Ron Jones to its litigation team. Jones focuses his practice on healthcare and commercial litigation as well as healthcare and higher education investigations. In addition, he has a growing practice within the sports and entertainment industry.
“Frost Brown Todd has 15 offices and over 500 attorneys with offices across middle America, Texas and Washington D.C. In addition, FBT is a full-service firm that currently encompasses nearly three dozen practices and industry teams,” said Jones. “So, what ultimately attracted me to Frost Brown Todd is the access to a vast number of resources within the firm, the numerous practice and industry groups, the people that I know within the Pittsburgh office and that I have met through the firm, the culture, and its strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through actions, not words.”
Jones mentors young lawyers through various outlets, including the Homer S. Brown Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association and was instrumental in the formation of the Pittsburgh Legal Diversity and Inclusion Coalition. He was named a 2020 “Pennsylvania Trailblazer” by the Legal Intelligencer, a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star® in 2018 and is listed in Savoy magazine’s 2018 “Most Influential Black Lawyers.” Jones is a graduate of Howard University School of Law and Business. He has his Bachelor of Arts in sociology from UCLA.
Jones joins FBT’s growing Pittsburgh office after Leah LaFramboise, Ed Grattan, Derrick Maultsby, Jason Ott, Travis Sumpter and Curtis Wadsworth came on board in the last part of 2021.
“Ron is a dynamic and well-respected member of the bar not only because of his work with clients, but his dedication to the community,” said Pittsburgh Member-in-Charge Jordan Blask. “He already has a close working relationship with Leah, Jason, Curtis and Derrick, who are making their mark within FBT’s Pittsburgh office, and across our firm. We are excited to have Ron as part of the team.”
