This civil action stems from a high-profile accident at the Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom amusement park located in Louisville, Kentucky on June 21, 2007. A fourteen (14) year-old girl’s feet were severed while riding the Superman Tower of Power drop ride when a wire rope on the ride failed. Plaintiffs filed suit against our client, and a third-party complaint was filed against the manufacturer of the ride and part suppliers. Plaintiffs sought damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, impaired earnings, emotional damages, and punitive damages. Plaintiffs signed an agreed order dismissing settled with predjudice as to KKI, LLC d/b/a Kentucky Kingdom a/k/a Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and Kevin Washam.
