Lee is an experienced trial attorney and member in the Business Litigation Practice Group. Lee focuses her practice in litigation involving the mineral industry and in other areas of complex business litigation, including contract disputes, securities law claims, intellectual property disputes and unfair competition cases. In the energy sector, Lee has represented both mineral owners and operators in connection with lease or royalty disputes, trespass actions, disputes involving participation and farmout agreements, regulatory actions, reviewing and analyzing title documents, and the negotiation and drafting of assignments, participation agreements, and other legal agreements.
Lee has represented energy sector clients in motion, injunction and trial practice before various state and federal courts, before state and federal appellate courts, before regulatory bodies such as the Mine Health and Safety Commission and the Kentucky Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, in arbitration proceedings, and in relation to their participation in the workgroup tasked with proposing revisions to Kentucky’s oil and gas statutes.
Lee also has served as an instructor in business law at Transylvania University.
