Frost Brown Todd (FBT) Member Russell Kutell has been appointed the 95th president of the Ohio Land Title Association (OLTA.) Kutell, who has been a member of OLTA for the past 15 years, was sworn in for a one-year term at the association’s annual convention in Columbus, Ohio. He previously served four years on the OLTA Board of Trustees, and three years as chair of the education committee.
Kutell focuses his law practice in real estate, lending, oil and gas and other commercial litigation. He represents title insurance underwriters and agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, and other corporate and individual clients in a wide range of matters, including land title issues, mortgage fraud and real estate disputes. He also handles issues relating to lending and truth-in-lending, insurance coverage, contract disputes, and business torts.
Earlier this year, Kutell was awarded the recognition as Columbus “Lawyer of the Year” in real estate litigation by The Best Lawyers in America©. The award is presented annually to a single lawyer for each practice area and designated metropolitan area. Kutell has also been recognized as a top-rated lawyer in banking and finance by Corporate Counsel and has been included in “Central Ohio’s Top Lawyers” by Columbus CEO annually since 2009.
