FBT is serving as counsel for the City of Oxford, Ohio, in a lawsuit filed by a developer challenging the City’s ban on the purchase of “lot splitting.” By splitting lots into multiple lots, developers seek to increase the housing density in a development. The developer claimed it was defrauded by the City into delaying its filing of its application to split his lots until after the practice was banned. Additional allegations include violation of Ohio’s Sunshine Law and civil rights violations.
