Amy represents public sector clients in matters involving land use and zoning, labor and employment, public records and open meetings matters, appropriations, annexation and public contracts. Amy has served as Law Director and Assistant Law Director to several municipalities in southwest Ohio, and former Deputy Director of the City of Dayton law department.
She is a frequent presenter to local board and commission members. Amy believes when a citizen commits his or her personal time to contribute to the community by serving on a local board or commission that individual deserves the tools necessary to serve to the best of his or her ability. Amy enjoys training board and commission members in meeting management, public hearing procedures and Ohio sunshine law considerations.
After many years of serving a wide array of communities, Amy appreciates the unique aspects of different local entities, and she enjoys tackling legal challenges in ways specific to that community’s needs. Especially with zoning matters, each community’s priorities and challenges are distinctive and deserve a specialized approach.
